Painted Penny has made the decision to immediately cease all physical estate sales located in homes or businesses until late May of 2020 or when city and government support is given.
The decision for us to do this was simple and clear. This is all about the safety and well being of buyers and the employees who make Painted Penny a successful estate sale company.
Decisions to offer sales to our clients are generally based on two primary objectives...
1. Sell everything
2. Maximize the sale value of everything in the sale
Today... new objectives stand above all.
WE MUST CONTROL WHAT WE CAN... AND WE MUST DO OUR PART TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE.
We are pausing our in home sales program for the following reasons...
We greet you when you come in and we shake a lot of hands.
We are person to person... exchanging cash and credit/debit cards.
We are in confined quarters where colds can easily be passed from one to another so this virus could be passed just as easily.
We have buyers who go on trips all over the world and upon their return go to estate sales for enjoyment and the buying/shopping experience.
While we could limit the number of people coming in the doors, we cannot prevent the "social distancing" suggestions made by our cities and our government.
We do not make this decision based on what any other estate sale company may or may not be doing during this time... each business makes their own decisions.
During this unique time, we will have regular online sales for specific clients as people will continue to relocate or downsize and Painted Penny will be there to help where possible.
